LED Screen Scanning and Working Principle

  With the development of LED technology, LED display brightness is also increasing, and smaller size, which indicates that more LED display into the room will become the trend. However, due to the increase in led brightness and pixel density, LED screen control and drive also bring new higher requirements.

  In the general indoor LED screen, now the general control methods are used in the row-and-column mode, which is usually called the scanning mode, the LED Electronic display screen driver mode has static scanning and dynamic scanning, static scanning is divided into static real pixels and static virtual, dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic real image and dynamic virtual. In the LED display, the number of lines lit at the same time is proportional to the number of rows in the entire region, which is called scanning mode. Scanning also 1/2 sweep, 1/4 Sweep, 1/8 Sweep, 1/16 Sweep, and several other driving modes. In other words, the display is not the same as the driver, the receiver card settings are not the same. If the receiving card is used on a 1/4-scan screen and is now used on a static screen, the display on the display will be a row of 4 lines. General receive card can be set up, connect good send card, display, computer and other major devices, you can enter the relevant software on the computer settings.

  So here first to introduce the LED display screen scanning mode and principle.

  First, LED display screen scanning mode:

  1, dynamic scanning: Dynamic scanning is from the output of the drive IC to the pixel points between the implementation of "point to column" control, dynamic scanning needs control circuit, the cost is lower than static scanning, but the display effect is poor, brightness loss is larger.

  2, static scanning: Static scanning from the drive IC output to the pixel between the implementation of "point to Point" control, static scanning does not need to control the circuit, the cost is higher than dynamic scanning, but the display of good results, good stability, brightness loss and so on the advantages.

  Second, LED display 1/4 scanning mode working principle: is 1 frames in the image of each line of power V1-V4 according to the control requirements of each open 1/4 time. The advantage of this is that you can more effectively use the display characteristics of LEDs and reduce hardware costs.

  The disadvantage is that within 1 frames of the image, each LED can only display 1/4 of the time.

  Third, according to the LED electronic display Type scanning mode classification:

  1, indoor Full-color LED Electronic display screen scanning mode: P4, P5 for constant current 1/16,P6, P7.62 for constant current 1/8.

  2, outdoor Full-color LED display screen scanning mode: P10, P12 for constant current 1/2, 1/4,P16, P20, P25 for static. 3, single Two-color LED electronic display screen scanning mode is constant current 1/4, constant current 1/8 sweep, constant flow 1/16 sweep.
